If you have barely survived those pigeon droppings think again. Those dried up droppings carry even more problems than wet ones. For one thing, drying droppings begin to harbor one of the nastiest fungal infections known to man. And when they dry up they flake so easily from any movement such as the flap of wings spreading deadly fungi, bacteria and viruses. If you can not afford a professional then you can make your own homemade pigeon deterrents from simple household materials. That used up plastic basket can protect your window sills from nesting. Got left over aromatic bleach? Mix with some old gelatin and slop it over your roof to blow those pigeons away. Another is to use old balloons tied up with aluminum foils and set them flapping with the wind. There are many ways to keep feral pigeons away and they are not necessarily expensive or you don’t have to hire professionals; do it yourself.
